AI-Ready Workforce Program

As artificial intelligence reshapes industries and job roles across Canada, many workers face uncertainty about their future. TechMind's AI-Ready Workforce Program provides funded digital skills training, personalized career support, and employment follow-up to help individuals transition into new opportunities with confidence.

The Challenge

Why This Program Exists

AI and automation are transforming the Canadian labour market at an unprecedented pace. Roles that were stable for decades are being restructured, and new positions demand digital skills that many workers were never trained for. The people most affected are often those with the fewest resources to retrain on their own — workers in retail, administration, manufacturing, and service industries who need practical support, not just career advice.

TechMind Innovators secured funding to address this gap head-on. Rather than offering generic information sessions, we built a structured program that enrols participants in hands-on digital skills training, pairs them with mentors, and follows up with each individual to track their progress toward employment.

How It Works

Our program follows a structured pathway from intake to employment, with support at every stage.

01

Intake and Assessment

Every participant begins with an individual assessment. We evaluate their current digital skills, work experience, career goals, and the specific challenges they face due to AI-driven changes in their industry. This helps us design a training plan tailored to their needs and the roles they are best positioned to pursue.

02

Digital Skills Training

Participants are enrolled in a curated set of TechMind workshops and learning modules covering in-demand skills: from using productivity and collaboration tools to understanding data basics, building an online presence, and working alongside AI-powered systems. Training is hands-on, engineer-led, and designed for people with varying levels of digital experience.

03

Career Support and Mentoring

Beyond technical skills, participants receive guidance on translating their new capabilities into employment outcomes. This includes resume building for digital-era roles, interview preparation, personal branding online, and one-on-one sessions with mentors who understand the current job market.

04

Employment Follow-Up

Our commitment does not end at the last training session. We follow up with every participant at regular intervals — tracking whether they have secured employment, identifying ongoing barriers, and providing additional support where needed. This follow-up data also helps us continuously improve the program and demonstrate measurable impact to our funding partners.

Who This Program Serves

The AI-Ready Workforce Program is designed for individuals across Canada who are experiencing or anticipating job displacement due to AI and automation.

Displaced Workers

People who have lost their jobs or been notified of upcoming layoffs due to automation, AI adoption, or digital transformation in their workplace. Our program helps them build new, in-demand skills and find their next opportunity.

At-Risk Workers

Individuals in roles that are increasingly being augmented or replaced by AI tools — including administrative, data entry, customer service, and routine manufacturing positions. Proactive reskilling helps them stay ahead of the curve.

Career Changers

Workers who want to pivot into more digitally oriented roles but lack the foundational skills or confidence to make the transition on their own. We provide the structured pathway and ongoing support they need.

Funded Initiative

A Program Built on Partnership

The AI-Ready Workforce Program is made possible through grant funding and partnerships with government agencies, community organizations, and industry partners who share our commitment to an inclusive digital economy. This funding allows us to offer the program at no cost to eligible participants, removing the financial barrier that often prevents people from accessing the training they need.

We work closely with our funding partners to report on participant outcomes, ensuring transparency and accountability. Every enrolment, training milestone, and employment outcome is tracked and reported, so the impact of every dollar invested is clearly demonstrated.
